  • Initially known as the “woodheap” building, it was renamed the Gourlay Wing after a generous family donation to the college. The woodheap title referred to the site where wood was once heaped for use as heating fuel. The building infills a compact re-entrant site formed by the blank walls of the Clarke and Behan Wings. The accommodation is mostly motel-style suites for twenty-two later year students along with a small number of apartments for resident tutors and visiting scholars.
