Parliament House

Office Accommodation Project

Client: Department of Parliamentary Services
Status: Completion Mid 2018

The purpose of the project is to provide much needed up to date office accommodation and facilities for Members of Parliament in the long term. Parliament House is nearly 160 years old but was never completed. It was originally built with little or no office accommodation with dozens of ad hoc temporary offices being added over time. The new building has been constructed within the eastern gardens of Parliament House and provides 102 offices for Members. The pincer-shaped structure is partly sunken and features a rooftop garden and large central courtyard to integrate the building into the surrounding established landscape.
